Isabel Reader was born on  the 4 th of January 1980 in Cape Town but grew up in Pretoria where she still recides.

She completed a MBChB degree at the University of Pretoria and later also graduated from the University  of Stellenbosch in Underwater medicine. Bsc Med Sci

She has been a full time general and aesthetic practitioner in Pretoria and has had her solo practise for more than 13 years.

 

The interest in art has always been in her core and after extensively collecting and appreciating other artists she finally decided to try painting in 2022 as a form of distractions and relaxation

 

She soon realised that there was not enough hours in a day to paint everything she aspired to.

Painting became her escape into a world where she could manipulate the story as she wanted it to be told.

She finds that being creative gives her the freedom to move boundaries!

 

She was awarded a gold and two silver certificates at this years visual arts championships of South Africa in the category Impressionism.

 

Isabel just completed her first solo exhibition called

Vogue-Iz her portrayal of artistic interpretation of high end fashion photography. Celebrating the style, strength and timeless beauty of woman.

The Vogue-Iz dream was completed when she decided to integrate music and inspirational words into changing these paintings into interactive stories!

They have become part of her world and she now invites you to come and visit them!
