Sonja was born and grew up in a farming community in Brits, North-West Province in South-Africa. 

Since early childhood Sonja was intrigued by nature and enjoyed the creative side of her upbringing. It was not till later in Life that Sonja pursued her artistic and creative interests. Sonja started creating, sculpting and producing usable items out of ceramic clay and today runs her own very successful Pottery and Art Studio ( A School of fearless Creativity) 

Not limiting her artistic and creative side, Sonja makes art, with oil colours being her preferred Medium. Her Art and Creativity reflects her bubbly and empathetic, yet affirmative personality in all aspects.
